Single patient rooms - we have two beds in most room, but all the patient rooms at Centro Médico Excel are private. There are fewer patient rooms per floor. The newest section has 4 patient rooms per floor. The original section of the hospital has 6 patient rooms or less per floor.

Keeping the patient density low allows the nurses on the floor to concentrate on just the patients under their care. The confusion, typical of most hospitals, and which causes errors in judgment, mistakes in treatments and mis-dosages of medications, is non-existent at Centro Médico Excel. Low patient density reduces the chance of hospital based infections. Patient stress is low, less noise and less confusion.

Sinks and hand-wash stations are conveniently located on each floor. Nurses and doctors wash their hands before seeing each patient, minimizing the spread of infections.

Nurse server stations keeps medications for each patients in its own compartment - eliminating chance for errors in medications.
