Cardiovascular Procedures
-
Heart Valve Replacement or Repair
-
Coronary Angioplasty
- balloon catheter to open narrowed
coronary arteries
-
Pacemaker Implant
- controls the rate of the heart
-
Heart Bypass Surgery
- an obstructed coronary artery is
bypassed by transplanting a healthy section of blood
vessel around the diseased area.
-
Defibrillator Implant
- a device that monitors electrical
activity of the heart; in event of a potentially
life threatening irregularity of the heart beat, the
defibrillator will send a pulse of electricity to
the heart muscle restoring normal heart rhythm. The
implanted defibrillator is controlled by a small
microprocessor which is able to sense if a mild
pulse of a more potent electrical shock is needed to
restore the heartbeat.
-
Repair of Aneurysm
- An aneurysm is an enlarged or
weakened section of an artery. An aneurysm can
rupture, potentially causing death. Repair involves
replacing the damaged artery using tissue from your
body, or synthetic tubes called grafts.
-
Endovascular Stent Graft
- Reinforces weak or obstructed
arteries or blood vessels.
Our staff of physicians stand ready to
serve your every medical need.
Unlike at other institutions, each case
here is treated with a team approach. We find that many
times having a second pair of eyes or ears in evaluating
a case may turn up important details that could have
been overlooked.
Second opinions come standard at Centro Medico Excel.
You also have your choice of physicians.
If you are unhappy with your attending physician, that
is not a problem. Your choice is important; we honor
your every decision.
Medical diagnostics are an important part
of any case and any procedure.
Without an accurate diagnosis of your case, the best
treatment is rendered fruitless.
Our diagnosticians and our diagnostic
tools are without parallel.
Our CAT scan unit is one of the finest in
the World. It is a Phillips Brilliance 64 slice unit
which gives us extremely high resolution full color 3
dimensional images in every axis. A full body scan here
takes only seconds and exposes you to less radiation
than a conventional chest x-ray. Just as importantly,
our imaging specialists see many more cases than similar
technicians at other hospitals. They have the
experience, and experience counts.
All procedures are undertaken with
standard medical protocols, as accepted throughout the
world. In some cases you will find that our techniques
may be more advanced than those practiced in the United
States and some other countries.
Many techniques, now commonplace in the U.S. were
adopted years ago in Mexico and have been benefiting
patients for years.
